Last month we had the opportunity to hang out with the amazing Ally Meyers who has created The Scoop Saratoga. Ally started blogging about all the great small businesses that makeup (pun intended, teehee,) our community in Saratoga Springs, NY and we were lucky enough to be asked by Ally to feature our new Bridal Beauty Boxes. What’s even cooler about Ally is that she does this to fulfill her creative juices, but also help highlight business owners during this season of crisis at no cost! Plus, she raises 4 boys! Can you say Wonder Woman or what!? So here is a recap and video that Ally created with our time together. Thanks Ally, this was so much fun and we wish you continued success and of course, LOVE.
The following is what Ally shared on her blog:
GET GLOWING: WITH MAKEUP ARTIST ALAYNE CURTISS’ BEAUTY BOX
This week I got a chance to visit Make Me Fab Salon and Spa in Saratoga Springs, NY, and chat with makeup artist and owner Alayne Curtiss. I had originally asked Alayne to give us some simple tips that we could use at home when applying makeup for an everyday look. She shared that she had recently launched a line of makeup BOXES. Like kits, with an instruction manual, and all necessary products, to take the guesswork out of doing it yourself. THIS. WAS. BRILLIANT.
As shown in the video, Alayne shared that she originally launched the “bridal boxes” so that brides could do their own makeup during covid. She learned very quickly that it wasn’t just brides who welcomed the simplicity of the boxes. With twelve looks to choose from, she is making it super easy for ANYONE to recreate these looks.
Although the instruction card for each look is quite explanatory, she also includes a one-on-one tutorial, either through zoom or in-person, to walk you through the instruction card and answer any questions you may have (if purchasing the entire kit). The twelve looks and wide variety of products she carries can be found at https://shop.makemefab.com/ or in her salon and spa, located in the lobby of the Pavilion Grand Apartments at 30 Lake Avenue in Saratoga Springs, NY.
